Hosting and Internet Marketing Strategy for a Home Based Business
What's the best web hosting and internet marketing strategy for a home based business? There are so many options out there that the choice is bewildering! However, my own story may be of some use to you. When I first started working from home - about ten years back - I set up as an E-Myth small business coach. Essentially, I was coaching the owners of small businesses how to get from where they were to where they wanted to be. It was all based on a particular business development system created by Micahel Gerber, author of The E-Myth, one of the best selling small business books of all time. The point was that my likely customers could be located anywhere in the world. They would probably read the book and then search the internet to find an E-Myth business coach. Hopefully me! It was clear that I needed a web site to advertise my homebased business. So I did the obvious thing. I found a web master and he kindly built me a web site. I have no complaints about the job he did, but I soon found that it was frustrating to ask my webmaster to makes changes to the site. "Please go to such and such a page and then change the third paragraph down etc". Not only was it annoying, but I had to pay everytime I wanted to make changes. I really can't remember how it all happened now, but I soon started to realise that it was possible to make money from the internet. Believe me, I had zero intention of building a web site myself. I'm not a techie sort of person and I really didn't want the hassle. However, one day (can't remember how) I came across a solution that sounded pretty good. The best way I can describe is e business made easy. Easy because all the techie aspects of websites - like hosting and putting a web site onto the internet - went on in the background. All I had to be able to do was use a keyboard. Not only that, the web hosting and internet marketing strategy I came across made such common sense. Here's how it works. In a nutshell, Google, Yahoo and other search engines are looking for genuine information to help web surfers. It takes time, but all you need to do for a successful internet marketing strategy is to write articles on sensibly chosen topics. So I ended up building my own web site. That was a few years back. But when I came up with the idea to build Successful Home Based Business.com I knew the way to do it. It would cost me a fortune to get someone else to build this site for me. Instead I build it myself - and I can assure you, I wouldn't do it unless it was simple! If you'd like to have a look at the system I use, please see this article on successful small business
