Guy Kawasaki - The Art of the Start

by Mark Pittman
(Haverfordwest, UK)

"A new product, a new service, a new company, a new division, a new organisation, a new anything - where there's a will there's a way" - flyleaf, The Art of the Start.

Much of this book comes out of Guy's experience in high technology companies including the venture finance of start-ups in addition to his involvement with the likes of Apple. Don't let the corporate link put you off - he is like a breath of fresh air, cuts to the chase and will get you thinking about what really is important in getting your project off the ground. Hope you enjoy - Mark P.

Stuart's reply:
Thank you for bring this book to my attention Mark. I'd never heard of Guy Kawasaki or the book. I've just had a look at a few other reader reviews at Amazon and certainly it has attracted some excellent comments.

One reviewer makes the point that many small business start up books are of limited value because they assume you have plenty of money available for marketing, whereas Kawasaki assumes a lack of cash and the need for a low cost start up.
