A Fulfilling Home Based Antique Books Business
by Bill
I started a small business part-time to make money on my own terms. I had worked several nine to five jobs where I just couldn’t keep up with the daily grind and maintain my sanity. And I was making more money than I ever needed to.
So I got some cash together and followed one of my passions, antique books, to find my route to cash. I found a great venue for sales on e-bay first, and as I continued to streamline my business model, I started making more money than I ever did at my old jobs. And I found major positives to the life style.
I get to work when I want, and I don’t actually need to work forty hours like I was working at my jobs. And the work itself is better than anything I was ever doing before.
And because it was a passion of mine before I even thought to start the business, I brought all the knowledge and expertise needed. Starting my own business allows me to live my life on my own terms.
Stuart's comment: Many thanks Bill. That's an interesting example of a niche business. Building a successful home based business isn't easy, but it's a great help if you can focus on a specialist niche.
